MediaTek introduced 4nm energy-efficient Dimensity 7300 and 7300x series processors
MediaTek has expanded its line of mobile platforms by introducing the latest models Dimensity 7300 and Dimensity 7300X. These chips are designed for mid-range devices and are manufactured on a 4nm process technology, delivering superior power efficiency in their segment.
The Dimensity 7300 and 7300X are powered by an octa-core processor with a maximum clock speed of 2.5 GHz, comprising four Cortex-A78 cores and four Cortex-A55 cores. The ARM Mali-G615 MC2 is responsible for the graphics performance. These new products showcase double the AI computing capabilities with the new sixth-generation APU NPU 655, and also support Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4. They also offer improved gaming performance, delivering 20% more frames per second and improved power efficiency compared to previous models.
Geekbench v6 results:
Other characteristics of the chips include support for RAM standards LPDDR4x and LPDDR5 (up to 6400 Mbit/s), as well as UFS 3.1 drives. In the photo and video capabilities, the Dimensity 7300 and 7300X support cameras up to 200 MP, 4K video recording at 30 fps, 4K HDR video, full-pixel autofocus, dual video capture and AI-3A with auto-exposure, autofocus and automatic white balance.
The main difference between the Dimensity 7300 and 7300X is the latter's ability to handle two displays simultaneously. It supports screens with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 144 Hz, as well as WFHD+ with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Among the chip connection standards, 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS and NavIC are mentioned.
The first smartphone to use the latest Dimensity 7300X will be the foldable Motorola Razr 50
while the Dimensity 7300 will be found in the OPPO Reno 12 5G.
Conclusion:
MediaTek Dimensity 7300 and 7300X are powerful and energy-efficient solutions for the mid-range. They combine state-of-the-art technology to deliver high performance, advanced AI capabilities, and superior photo and video capabilities.
